11.55 – 12.35 Alexis Amadon (Neurospin, Paris): RF pulse design for dynamic parallel transmission

12.35 13.15 Shaihan Malik (KCL, London): PTx at the pulse sequence level

Session 2: Uk7T Network pTx Capabilities, Activities, Plans (Chair: Jo Hajnal, King's College London)

14.00 – 15.15 Presentations from Nottingham, Oxford and Cardiff sites

15.15 - 15.30 Coffee/Tea

15.30 - 16.15 Focused discussion – aim to share best practice, identify areas of common interest, including areas where we should work together.

16.15 – 17.00 Optional tour of SPMIC incl. visit to 7T scanner

Travel to University of Nottingham

By car (from M1 motorway)

Leave the M1 motorway at Junction 25 to join the A52 to Nottingham. Follow the A52 for approximately 4 miles, at the Toby Carvery roundabout turn right onto the A6464, turn left at the next roundabout to enter the University's West Entrance. There is a main visitor car-park on site, as indicated by the map on the Univeristy's website. The charge for parking here is £7.50 for the day.

When driving to University Park Campus via satellite navigation please use the following postcode: NG7 2QL.

By bus

There are a number of bus services running from Nottingham to University Park Campus. Please see the bus services page on the University's website for further information.

By tram

If you are coming to University Park Campus from Nottingham Train Station, you can hop on a tram, which is accessible by the walkway leading from the station. The Toton Lane line takes you directly to the University and visitors should disembark at the University of Nottingham stop.

If you are coming to University Park Campus from the M1 motorway, you can alternatively park at Toton Lane Parkway for free and ride the Hucknall line tram directly to the University, disembarking at the University of Nottingham stop. Toton Lane Parkway is located just off the Bardills Garden Centre roundabout, on the A52.

Please note that tickets must be purchased before boarding!

By taxi

There are taxi ranks throughout the city and immediately adjacent to the main railway and bus stations. The journey to the campus from the city centre takes approximately 15 minutes.

By train

The nearest train stations are located in Nottingham City Centre or Beeston. Taxis, tram access and buses are available at both stations.

From East Midlands Airport

From East Midlands Airport you can take the Trent Barton Indigo service directly to the campus or the Skylink bus to Nottingham. Buses leave from outside the Airport Arrivals hall. Please see the bus services page on the University's website for further information.

You can also walk to the taxi rank on the terminal forecourt and take a direct taxi to the University. The cost of a single/one way journey is approximately £20.
